Her Form
by Ray Rodgers

Her form was just like putty,
as she slipped from hand to hand.
She would embody all their needs,
and then become what they demanded.
I watched her change all along the way,
as she tried to fit the plan.
While she was capturing in detail,
the movement of each,
the pressure of each,
the pleasure of each hand.

We all loved to touch her,
to stimulate and to inspire,
to take and shape and mold her,
and then drag her into fire.
Like god himself I played my part,
to fulfill my own desires.
While capturing in detail,
the dreams I held to,
the beliefs I fell to,
and the truths of inborn liar.

I remember once she met a hoodlum.
She became a thing to steal,
As something to wrap around his finger,
she would prove his power real.
I watched her change into nothing then.
It was so much easier to conceal.
While capturing in detail,
a life that could not,
a life that would not,
a life that should not feel.

Then one by one we all left her,
an object out of style.
She was free to chip away the crust,
and loose the raging child.
Like holy wars too long restrained,
becoming turbulent and wild,
she was capturing in detail,
a life to hold to,
beliefs to mold to,
and the truths to leave the child.
